HOW DO YOU WANT TO STEER?

Tilting is the better ride — lean the phone and the bike leans. Wherever you are holding it when you start counts as straight ahead, so it works lying down.

TILT THE PHONE DRAG ON THE SCREEN

Your phone will ask for permission to use its motion sensors. You can change this any time from the menu or the pause screen.

HOW TO RIDE

• Steer — drag anywhere on screen, or tilt your phone.
• Tilt — the game asks which you want the first time you open it, and you can change your mind here or from the pause menu. However you are holding the phone when you switch it on, or when you resume, is straight ahead — lying down included.
• Brake — hold the left pad to scrub speed into corners.
• Hop — bunny hop. Nothing on the road can hit you while you are off it, so a well-timed hop clears a car, a rock or a barrier. Short cooldown, so it is a decision rather than a pogo stick.
• Air — hit crests fast. Land straight for a bonus.
• Flow — squeeze past traffic and rocks to build a near-miss streak.
• Boost — hold the third pad. Unlimited, in every mode.
• Zen — nothing can end the ride and the hop has no cooldown. Turn it on to tour the ladder without a wipeout stopping you.
• The road goes strange — every 1.4 km the world escalates, from mountain villages through dragon country and floating islands to a psychedelic fairy bloom. Ten worlds, then it starts over. Acts you have reached can be picked from the title screen; distance is only scored from wherever you got on.
